Well, it looks like me getting away isn't going to happen right now. I could go and leave my family to handle all the things that we have going on right now, but I don't think that would be fair. We have been working hard to restore order to the gardens and to make repairs and improvements to our house, after our year in Costa Rica and there is still much to be done. Too much for me to feel peaceful about time away. Sigh.
The weather is warming up and soon I will be able to spend lots of time outside in the sunshine with my hands in the soil. Gardening has alway been very healing to me so I hope that before long I am feeling like myself again.
So, for now at least I am not taking time away. I'll do my traveling in my thoughts and dreams and take the opportunity to make some progress where I am. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, I have felt them.

  2. When things are really bad, they can only get better. I hope you will find some happiness and peace working in your garden and being surrounded by your family. Try to do some things that make you happy every day and maybe spring will bring better days.

  5. Pamela, Thanks for the wisdom and encouragement. I am trying hard to count all my blessings ,which are many, and to be grateful for all the goodness in my life. I know that being able to be outside in the sunshine, working in my garden will help me to find peace. My husband and son are a great comfort to me...they are at the top of the list of what I am grateful for! Thanks for your concern. I hope this finds you well and enjoying life! Elle

  6. Misty, Thanks for your concern and well wishes! I am glad you liked the mail I sent. I have been having fun with glue stick and discarded children's books! The artistamps I did years ago for a mailart call about Dr.Suess. When I found the old beat up Cat in the Hat book I pulled the artistamps out of mothballs for the occasion. See you in the Mail!

  7. Sorry to hear you can't fulfill your travelling plans.
Still I have to be honest and say that thinking selfishly just from my perspective, I'm happy to hear you'll stay where you are, because I just got friends with you and I really want to stay in contact!
