A First Day of Issue for June
One thing led to another and before I could stop myself I had designed an artistamp to go out on my June mail art mail out. So now I will be doing two mailings, one for those who asked for my coneflower stationery and one to celebrate the first day of issue of a new artistamp. The stamp was really fun to make and I think it will be just the thing to finish off the stationery mail out!

Letters & Journals
Elle, how amazing, what a beautiful stamp! I now see that I need to add stamp making to my list of things to learn.
ReplyDeleteWe just started to have the mail move here in Canada after a strike, hope you will soon receive my letter.
Jackie, Thanks! I really enjoyed making it!
ReplyDeleteWanda,
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to know that the strike is over...hopefully soon the USA will be allowed to start sending mail to Canada again. I had to hold off on mailing your First Day of Issue Postcard with the stamp since the US Post office isn't presently accepting mail to Canada. But I will be sure to send it your way as soon as the Post Office will take it! Hopefully soon we will see each other in the mail! Elle
Your latest artist stamp is summery gorgeous! I'd love a mailing.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely! I've been searching for postage stamp templates with the same idea in mind. Now I'm really encouraged by your example. You're so creative!

ReplyDeleteI hope I am not too late to be included in the First Day mail out?! This is what happens when one works too many hours trying to catch up at work after going on vacation... :(
ReplyDeleteHester

A friend emailed me after seeing it and would like to know what medium you used to color it. Would you care to share that with us? And possibly the whole process? I mean, is this a rubber stamp you made or by "stamp" did you mean that it looks like a postage stamp? Or both? Can you tell that I'm new to your blog? ;)
Thanks again for including me in your mailing. I will treasure this beauty always.
Sharon
Sharon,
ReplyDeleteI left a comment on your blog outlining the process I used to make the stamp. But alas, I am not sure that it posted... If you will let me know if it posted, I would appreciate it.If it didn't then I will post it again. Thanks for your kind compliments and for highlighting my postcard on your blog!
Thank you Elle. I found your comment in a spam folder! Fixed it and it's now where it's supposed to be.
